Had a handful of first model year TSBs taken care of under warranty, otherwise trouble free for 49,000 miles. I can personally say TW makes me OCD about my truck. Frequently after reading TW, I am out in the garage looking under the truck with the hood up. I never joined a forum about any of my previous vehicles.

    This is so true!

I was doing that when the buzz was about catalytic converters being stolen...hence my purchase of the Talon CAT plate.

Then it was theft of the tailgate...that lead to my purchase of the tailgate lock.

Then at Thanksgiving, TRD Skid plates were the hot commodity purchase with sales happening via online ordering.

Shortly after the TRD Skid purchase, I saw the TRD Pro Grill from Empyre for sale and bought that too.

For Christmas, my wife bought me bed mat, bed lights and black alloy wheel locks...ordered by me of course AND installed at Christmas!

This is why my wife is worried I'm being too obsessive about my Taco...lol!

For 2022, I'm looking to get a BAKflip MX4 tonneau cover and then upgrade my headlights/fog lights to OEM LEDs.

Maybe by my/our first anniversary in May it will all happen???

    E
    ****

EDIT: That Sherpa Grand Teton Roof Rack is still on my mind...my wife's most despised add-on. lol

I've had my 2021 SR5 4X4 since October. I've got almost 2000 miles on it and it just keeps getting better.

Mine is all stock and the ONLY thing I dislike are the tires. Going with some 265/70/16 all terrains in the near future.

I gotta remodel a bathroom first.

Agree with everything you said except the customer service part. I had a horrible experience with my dealer, lying scumbags they are. I’m sure others have other experiences but I would still choose Toyota/Lexus any day.

You’ll love it. I own an 85 PU and a first gen, the 3rd gen is by far my favorite. The only thing I don’t like is it is connected to the internet.

Bought my ‘17 in Sept of ‘16, zero problems. Granted it’s only got 30k on it but going strong.

Edit: I take that back my battery died at the 3 year mark but that didn’t really bother me.

Nothing a tune and relevant TSBs haven’t addressed. 55k miles and ZERO concerns about reliability. My only fear is that I’ll get the itch for something else long before it’s actually having any mechanical issues.

I’m planning on 15 years; 11 to go.

93k miles. 35s and hasn't had a easy day in its life. Proper maintenance is key. I've had zero issues. VideoCapture_20210807-123350.jpg

Let's be honest. We'd all be similarly pissed if our penis pump was a shop vac, that shit hurts.

I've had Toyota 4x4 pickups since my first new one in 1984 - my 2021 is the best one yet.

The truck isn't perfect by any means but it's still the best mid-size pickup you can buy new.

Ok this thread did what I hoped. It has gotten me excited about getting my truck again! I was actually thinking of cancelling, but now I’m looking forward to it. It’s still a month until it gets built. Hoping somehow it happens sooner. Thanks!!!
