    Own a 16 taco sr5 with 2.7 auto. No complaints - it's exactly what I expected.

I have a 2017 SR5 DCSB with the 2.7. No complaints now. At first it was a little jerky in the shifting but 30k miles in and it's settled down completely.

While I'm a 2nd gen, same motor. Mine does what I want it to.

And that's the key. While price matters, having it do what you want/need it to do matters more.

As with any vehicle, some good test driving will matter. It will help you decide if it's for you.
