Im not confused. Im just tired of seeing everything black. I have an SR and I got rid of that black grill you are talking about. When I bought my truck I was at the same dealership pricing TRD grills before I drove it off the lot.
I also work at a Ford dealership and see the trade ins when people go black over chrome. Several have came in peeling and look terrible. If you are going to do this then make sure it gets done right. Im sure those people took a beating on their trades.
All I am saying is do it for you if that is what you like. Dont do it just because everyone else is. How about doing something different so your truck will stand out?

Seriously? You accuse people of trying to turn TRD trucks into an SR. Yet you bought a TRD grill to put on your SR. Are you trying to turn your SR into a TRD?

This makes zero sense. Except for the peeling plastidip part, that made perfect sense. But the rest is gibberish.

You need to take the grill off but it's super easy. I'm an idiot and I can do it. A quick YouTube search and you'll be all set.

You have to remove the whole surround/grille from the truck if that's what you mean. 2 10mm bolts & 2 plastic push fasteners then slide it out. From there just remove the 8 screws & work the clips out. The actual grille does not have to be removed.
    Hope that helps

Applied 5-6 coats of derp. Looks great. Derped bumpers on my other truck and no problems after 3 years. If done properly it lasts for a long time.

That chrome bezel always bothered me, looks so much better black. Too many trd bro grills out here, like every truck.

Theres even a specific page over on the margin in TW.
I wanted just enough protection for the lower front panels. If you can even 'lightly ' bump something, (or someone bumps you) the plastic fasteners allow self disassembly of said body components .

Can't speak for a Grill, but Plasti-dipped my rear bumper (black) and my rims, and just went through 2 harsh winters and it still looks the same.

So the dealership I ordered my Pro grill through informed me yesterday that Toyota would not allow sales of Pro grills to non-Pro owners. Felt like a kid trying to buy beer with a fake ID. F’ck em. . .

4Runner Trail wheels and Toyo Open Country ATII tires 265-70-17. Cosmetic stuff like Pro grille and OffRoad black bumper trim, vinyl delete on side, added hood graphic, OEM tube steps.
They just need a 2018 Pro VIN number to get it done. Just find one and send it over.
