I myself will never leave anything in the field, with coyote we get the hide and we have a friend that cures out the meat and makes jerky out of it :der: I personally havent tried it but ive hade the jerky he made out of rabbit and squirrel and it was great so idk it may be good. But no I dont just leave it

Honestly to me leaving an aniamal in the field makes about as much sense as an ass flavored sucker. If your not going to use then take it and donate the meat to the red cross or another organization to help somebody else

    Eating coyote?
It isn't a really good idea to eat an animal that eats a lot of carion.
    Brown bear=good
    Black bear=risky

Ever notice buzzards never get eaten :p

Ruffidog calls are great but we had one come in to a cheap $12 crow call that my uncle bought at dicks. it was a green Quaker Boy call and yes it works very well on crows too

I had a beautiful bobcat walk right past my stand at less than 10 yards on opening day of archery season in CT. All I was thinking was "full body mount" but bobcats are protected and illegal to shoot so that was that.

we have been out running the dogs for bobcats but with the weather it has been sloooooowwww. i had a 4 1/2 hour race the other day with one that would not tree. the dogs finally caught it in a creek. the next day we had a real short run about 200 yards and big tom treed. running dogs is a lot of fun, it is cool to get to watch and listen to them work. the long race was amazing we saw the cat cross the road 3 times and it circled back into its own track a few times but the lead dog stayed on it pretty good and got the job done.

i also do a lot of spring bear hunting (without dogs not legal here in Oregon). it is fun to go out and see several bears everyday. you get to be picky.

I haven't seen a bobcat here in years (central Texas). A bear and a mountain lion were shot within the last couple of months though. Foxes are what I see the most of

The absolute hardest hunting I have ever done was Mountain Lion hunting behind dogs. It didnt help I was hunting in about 12" of frozen snow that you would break through about every other step, with about 4" of fresh powder on top. Also in mountains that top out at about 9500' and the valley floor is about 5000'. Tough stuff for sure.
There was a coyote tournament this last weekend in my hometown, I only got one. The guy who won it got 6 dogs.
