Anybody put leveling kits on what size and what brand? Looking at a 3 inch leveling kit. Any stories on what not to get or what to get?

“Level kit” is usually synonymous with “cheap spacer /block lift”...don’t put a hockey puck on your $35k truck

Cut the poor guy a little slack, everyone was a newbie at one point.

Generally spacer lifts are discouraged around here. There is a wealth of information present as to why. The short is that it doesn't help the ride quality and in many cases adversely affects it . A quality, budget, lift can be had for $750 that will benefit the trucks handling for both on/off road use.

Take some measurements. I think you will find that the front is about an inch lower than the rear. A set of 5100's on the first notch in front will "level" it. There is a difference between level and lift.

hey op don't let the Debbie downers discourage you , low range off road 3/1 lift level kit has every thing needed, very complete kit , with 255 85 16s , I run it with no issues , its not a bad ride AT ALL , and nothings going to explode. ive ben off road with it , and the job sites I drive my truck in are like logs , ruts and more rutted out hills and before someone says you put a level kit on my 30k plus truck , haha I paid just over 26k out the door so pound salt

People put spacer/block lifts on 50, 60,70k dollar trucks all the time with zero issues. Just depends what you want.

Yes but when they come online to forums everyone laughs at them and they never come back, so it seems like nobody does.

Lol True true. Not everyone is a forum whore either. A lot of people have too much time on their hands and they have all this free time to talk about other people and make fun of their budget parts. And then all these other people make the same statements to new truck owners on the forum, acting like they have all this knowledge on spacer lifts and blocks, when in reality they just wanna mimick everyone else and make themselves feel knowledgeable and better about themselves. :)

Anyways, I run the Bilstein 5100 front at about 1.5” w/ stock coil and 5100 rear with a toytec 1.5” block. It rides awesome and allows me to fit a 32” tire with no rubbing. What size tire are you looking to run?

Since when are these trucks expensive? People need to get over this fucking “SPACER LIFTS ARE THE DEVIL” notion because the only reason they thing they’re bad is because people on this site say so. If you’re not prerunning Baja, a spacer lift is just fine. 5100s suck when you pre load them, when in reality 85% of this forum couldn’t explain why a 5100 with the preload set to the highest setting is better than a spacer lift on a stock strut. Anyone?

Real men just call it camping
OP, you may want to consider a spacer for the front bump stops if you aren't planning that already. If the lift spacer is set inside the coil over, it is a non issue, but if it is set on top, the shock will bottom out before you hit the stock bumps.
