Nope, not one bit. Momentum & plenty of travel and you dont need 4 wheel drive.

No regrets at all, never needed 4wd in 35 years, never wanted it.

I got stuck in my yard on Saturday. Wish I had a 4x4 on the rare occasion I even consider going off the paved road into a little water-logged sandy muck here in rainy FL. Glad my neighbor was home and used his JD790 to pull me out. LOL

That's one of the reasons I like having 4WD. I hate relying on people, so getting stuck on something as simple as wet grass in the lawn would piss me off to no end! :D

    BTW, pic doesn't work.

I don't have need of a 4 wheel drive but sure wish I had one they just look better than the 2 wheel. Also the resale value is better.

TRD E-locker rear axle swap, Cherrybomb Extreme muffler, custom made CAI, 2.5" spacer lift up front and AAL's in the rear, Sport model seat swap, Pioneer X940BT, Kicker shallow 10" and 12" behind the back seat
I do sometimes, but then I remember the things I use to put my 91 Toyota 4x4 through and I'm sort of glad I didn't...

I have the random thought every once in a while about collecting parts to turn my PreRunner into a 4x4 by getting a trans, front diff, and everything else, but in the end for the cost I'm better off just going and buying another older Toy 4x4 to play with and not worrying about destroying my 06 :D I did go as far as throwing an e-locker rear end out of a TRD in my 06 PreRunner (non TRD) and it does me surprisingly well in the rare occasion I have to use it; it alone has gotten me out of more than one situation where it was stuck with the diff open, and as soon as I locked the diff it pulled right out ;) I'm ALMOST convinced that if driven right, a 2wd with a locking rear end is almost as capable as a 4x4 with an open rear diff... almost... guess it really depends on the situation... I haven't been stuck once since the locker install, if that means anything ;)

Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.

how hard was the install and around how much. Looking into this option.

I think I found the official prerunner regret thread LOL. I feel this way right now. In SoCalifornia we don't need it much but I want to start exploring mountains and rough terrain around our country in a few years.
