Anybody regret not buying a 4X4?

I just go my prerunner about a month ago and started going on Tacomaworld right before I bought it and now I want to lift it no thanks to this damn website!!!! but feel like a damn homo lifting a 2wd truck. I live in Arkansas and we get about 3-4in of snow a few times in the winter. I wish I would have gotten 4wd so I wouldn't feel like a douch lifting it and I could take it off roading and in the mud since it rains a lot here.

 

Uhhhh lifting a 2wd does not make you a "douch". Don't be "that guy"

 

So much snow here, I had to. Although it does "pretty" good in 2wd in the snow.

No snow , 4x4 is optional

what happens if you have snow sometimes, and you dont have snow other times??

 

Pretty sure , unless you live in Antarctica , most people only get snow ' sometimes '

Just hit the 5000 mile mark on my 2011. I'm thinking about trading it in for a TRD edition with rear locker. I don't need a 4x4 but the locker would definitely come in handy. This past weekend I got stuck in some mud and it took me 3 hrs to get myself out. I was alone so it was tuff. I could have used a rear locker then. BTW, LSD isn't worth a shit. if your getting a Tacoma at least get it with a locker.

nah. the little off roading i do is just basically dirt roads and i dont do it much. as long as i can make it to the lake im good. never been stuck

Yep, never should've gotten one, I hate being able to climb/negotiate obstacles successfully, & another thing, huh ? wha??, oh this is the 2nd gen sec. oops my bad I'll just exit on back to 1st gen territory...

It just matters what you need a truck for ,(they are utilitarian) theres nothing wrong shooting a wash at high speed (assuming your somewhat set up for it) I just like the slower ,technical stuff more so 4x was a no brainer, had to have it & absolutely NO regrets....

 

If RWD it better be mid/rear engine. I'll take my truck 4x4.

 

I would have like one for the boat. I got rid of the boat and got an airboat. I don't need to go near the ramp. I can run it on the trailer from dry ground. No regrets
