Have you looked into overhead Big Sky Racks? They're pretty solid and a bit less visible than one of those incase you're concerned with that.

Yeah, thanks. Ive looked at those. Really looking for something easy access for coyote hunting. I live out in the middle of no where so visibility isnt much of a concern. I might just have to try a rackbone and modify if it dosnt hang right.

Have you looked into a floor up-down mount on the passenger side? I think a rackbone would actually work, but you might have to add some hardware to the bottom. Since full size trucks have larger seats, you may not have to do much to it.

Yeah. The rackbone is the best option Ive found so far. They have straps that attach to the bottom of the seats, and the passenger seat has a bar under it but not the driver seat. Another good idea but they dont make one for a Tacoma, kinda expensive. https://www.gunmount.com/collection...t-adapter-for-back-of-front-seat-angled-mount

Doesn’t @mesojdm make a rack that bolts to the overhead “oh shit” handles?

Not sure how many firearms owners frequent the Marketplace here so I thought I'd post a link to the roof rack I just posted for sale as it pertains to this conversation:
