Met a gravel truck on the road the other day and it took out my windshield. Windshield replacement for my truck from Safelite is $320, and they'll even come way the hell out where I live to do it. But I've never heard any reviews about them or their work. Anybody here use em or can recommend someone other than a Toyota dealer?

    Thanks!

I had them replace the windshield on my 05 Camry... I didn't deal with them as my wife took the car in, but she said it was quick and easy. No complaints... And it was fairly cheap

    Not enough...
Yep. They came, installed new glass on my VW, cleaned everything up nicely. No problems.

I had them relace my windshield as well after cracking it. The experience was pretty painless and the off brand glass looks great. That was about 3 months ago I got no complaints, I think I paid about 320 too.

Used them about a year and a half ago. Came to my work and knocked it out. No issues.

Had em throw a new windshield in my wife's Audi Q5 and it was less than half the price of the Audi glass. No complaints at all with the quality and level of service. Plus you can't beat the fact that they come to you. :D

They are the only ones my wife will use anymore. We've never had any real issues with them and they come to the house.

$320?????? look into getting windshield coverage on insurance. It's not that much more but they will pay to replace it. I know my windshield got busted by a rock on a gravel road one day, called and insurance had it replaced, very next day a city truck kicked up a rock on interstate and busted that windshield, called again and they replaced it once more :D

I had them replace my windshield and it came out good. The only complaint i had was that they forgot to reinstall the long rubber gasket under the window and drove it like that a good 100 miles before i noticed.

My deductible is $500. I'd rather pay $320 than $500.

My insurance sends me to safelite anytime I get a chip. Ive never had any problems with them.

I've used Safelite, in Florida we can have the windshield replaced with no deductible involved, state law, so they are all over the place down here. I have had no issues with my safelite windshield replacement, it appears to be just as good as the OEM windshield.

not to comment about Safelite.. but if ya do have your front windshield replaced, go ahead and have them mount the rearview mirror up higher. might as well right?

I think safelight is a little higher than going to a glass shop. I guess part of it would be due to the travel to your vehicle.

I had them install the windshield in my truck and they did fine. Keep in mine I bought OEM glass.

I've used them multiple times call around and get the best quote then call them n see what they do for you on price, they've always given me a little discount or free wipers if its within reasonable comparison but i am in denver. They have pretty much always done a good job and come to me!

I've used them multiple time and have had nothing but good results. Recently got some chips filled in my windshield and they are covering them for the life of the truck!
