Anybody using 5w30/0w30 instead of 0w20?

    Just out of curiosity l Googled Auto Parts Stores in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Car-Quest has jugs of 0W-20.

    Shure he does........I know the owner & everytime I call & they SAY it's in stock I ask them to go put there hand on the item 15 minuites later they tell me there out

    Happens every time I call.........

    Jeez, just order it online and it'll show up in a couple of days. The oil that's really hard to find for me is Valvoline 20w50 Racing oil, which is what needs to go in my old 911. Can't put synthetic in or it'll leak, unless you rebuild with new gaskets and the high performance engine needs enough zinc and phosphorus additives that only the "racing" oil has in enough quantities. Sometimes the local O'Reilly's carries that here in L.A. but not so much anymore but Walmart generally does carry it - and they deliver.

    the ‘ zero ‘ weight oils are help at cold start ups before the pressure has built up

    on the big end rod bearings

    tolerances are much closer keeping start up wear to a min
