hey all, i recently put a deposit on new wheels and a set of 285/75/16 fierce attitude MT. to put on my stock 15 taco !!!. Pfftt. I know what was i thinking. No lift. Thinkin of going back to the store and downgrading to 265/75/16 same style tires just smaller size less problems with rubbing??? Thoughts and or pics of similar situation??

    Any help is appreciated.

265/75/16's are the biggest you can go with a stock setup, and not rub with stock wheels. Depending on the offset/size of the new wheels, there still could be some rubbing issues with that size. 285's at stock height are guaranteed to rub.

As has been said, very few people have troubles with 265 75R 16. I put them on last fall, and I'm totally stock aside from them. No issues whatsoever.

I have them, no rubbing, just remove front flaps, which I don't even know what their purpose is. Your gas mileage don't take a hit either.

I have MB razor wheels and 265/75/16 tires and I get rubbing only when backing up with the wheel to the right (no idea why, would love it if somebody could explain how that works to me). As others said, 285's will without a doubt cause issues without a lift. The 265/75's look good, definitely fill the wheel-well well.
