    Like the title says.

Looking at different options such a small camper, rtt, etc.

Keep coming back and looking at the RTTs. Pros? Cons?
    Family of four. Small kids.

    Any advice appreciated.

Oh and i put this in the 3rd gen forum because im saving up for a down payment on one. :anonymous:

One downside to the RTT with little ones will be having to climb down/up a ladder at night when they have to go pee. Much easier to hop out of the tent or use the camper bathroom.

Family of four might be too big for an RTT. I've camped with my kiddo and no issues, but I haven't brought the wife, yet.

RTT's are a freaking hassle. A small camper would be so much better.

Not an issue unless your family needs to use the bathroom at night. It's never been an issue for me

We have a family of four and a 23Zero. We fit fine with some room to spare. My kids are 9 and 11 so no issues getting in or out.

Depending on the age of your kids and the style RTT you get, you could deploy the annex and have them sleep down there. There's a lot of room in an annex.

The annex is handy but also kinda a pain to set up. Worth it if you'll be somewhere for more than one night.

And i guess a downfall would be have to pack up if wanting to drive out of camp for a bit?

Makes sense. I haven't stayed longer than a day in any spots, yet.

Yep, that's the biggest downfall, in my opinion. I don't mind, though.

That was one of the reasons I got rid of mine. I like the freedom and simplicity of having camp set up and being able to explore.

Yea totally agree. My wife even mentioned about having a dedicated trailer set up. Shes not totally onboard with a RTT setup but i guess neither am I yet.

It would probably be better to run a camper trailer or a trailer with an RTT, but if you're running a trailer you might as well have a cool little tear drop.
