So whenever you get out of the truck you just bring the gun and holster with you?

I bought a Taco not a Mark LT

I believe it's sold as a Chevy steering column holster. Can't remember though.

This is my home defense/truck pistol. I just moved from CA to AZ and don't own a pistol that I feel comfortable CCW on a daily basis. When I go hiking or something and I open carry it transfer from truck to open holster though.

    No that holster stays put.

Best idea I've seen so far when it comes to perm. holster in the truck. Awesome job.

I'd rather have a .22 that takes a 30 round banana clip, than only 6 shots with a hand cannon.... To each his own.

LCP in my pocket. If I have to leave it in the car, then it goes in the Console Vault that I just installed today.

Who let Carol McCarthy in here?

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The probability of firing 6 continuous shots out of a quality .44 revolver is 99.9%. The probability of making it through your 30 round 'banana clip' with a RIMFIRE cartridge without suffering a malfunction is not very high.

Clearly, you are talking out of your ass here. Study up on the issue before you lecture guys who carry weapons everyday.

EDIT: Not to mention that in a defensive application, you dont care if the target eventually dies. You want to incapacitate as immediately as possible. If you put 30 rounds of .22 lr in my upper torso and Im still functioning enough to shoot back at you, you have failed, even if I die 10 min later. .44Mag doesn't guarantee incapacitation either, but two impacts of .44 Mag in the upper torso will do tremendous amounts MORE of damage than a dozen .22lr impacts.

Year in and year out, the .22LR kills more people in the US than any other round. However, thats because ghetto trash use it for its cheapness and availability ( a POS .22 pistol can be bought for a few bucks and a handful .22 is pretty cheap as well). This doesnt take away from the fact that .22LR is a shit defensive round in comparison to centerfire options.

Big caliber vs. small caliber is always a fun debate.

More deaths are caused by .22LR than any other caliber in the US. Rather than debate endlessly I simply ask who here has shot a man with a .22LR and then shot another man with a .45 cal, under the same circumstances, at close range, and in each case did they both live, both die, or one live and one die in accordance with caliber size theory. The usual answer I get is that they have shot nobody up close and personal, "but studies show..." ;)

My personal philosophy is carry what suits you best for whatever risk management assessment you have made for your most common daily endeavors. In my case, the .38 LCP is my weapon of choice. For the house I have a Remington 870 pump loaded with alternating 000 and slugs.

I sure hope so. I certainly appreciate the opportunity to exercise my rights.

    Well played Ralphie.

That looks like a pain in the ass to draw while driving.

Actually the ghetto trash is more likely to carry a .38 caliber. The .22LR is simply a more common caliber across demographics.

Best place for it, if I could carry in my state that is where mine would go.

I'd say the best choice is whatever you shoot best with. If you can't hit dick with a .44 doesn't matter if you have a 99.9% chance of reliability.
