Wondering how you store them in the truck and if there are any issues with the heat...

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Have 6 behind the rear seat. End up using them one way or another every 2 years or so, so just rotate them in and out.

ETA: stored in a husky zip up bag with jumper cables and whatnot.

I haven't. I do need to get a couple folding triangles again with the new trailer coming.

They make such bright and small LED warning markers now. Flares are not as common.

I like carrying flares as they are multi-use, but sounds like they don't last long in this heat. I'll look into possibly replacing them with LEDs, but then you have to worry about the batteries...? In a little over 2 1/2 years, I'll have replaced batteries in 3 cars/trucks & 2 motos:).

I carry flares and have for years. My are in a pack with some other emergency gear that is well insulated. Never had an issue with them and heat.

That's great to hear! I've just heard that they don't do well in high heat...Which I imagine is what the inside of my cab is like during summer.

My pack sits behind the back seat the the storage bin. I like having flare just for their range of use. I'm from the snowy Midwest originally, so flare were more reliable than batteries in the cold.

I have 3 in factory shrink pack that I keep under the rear seat in the jack storage compartment with no issues. They've been there for a few years, with roughly the same summer heat conditions here in Texas.
