    :notsure:Doesn’t that expensive battery
have its own built-in power regulator? The specs say the charger is 12v input and 12v output at 10amps. You’d think the battery could handle regulating itself.

I'm about 100% sure that $40 adapter cable is just a couple of connectors, a wire, and a fuse. And about $35 of profit.

idk how big you guys are looking for, but personally you cant go wrong with this:
    https://egopowerplus.com/nexus-portable-power-station/

    up to 3000 peak watts

I ran my full size refrigerator on it for an entire day and still had around half my battery supply left. thats using 4 x 7.4ah batteries.

    That’s OK, I have a 400watt electric generator that comes with a 29 gallon fuel tank :)

Might be user error on my part but I couldn’t really get my gz to charge off the inverter in the bed. I now run a solar setup and that works well. I get about 3 days use of arb50 out of the gz1000 without charging. Used solar setup to charge gz on a week long trip and I had about 30-40% when I got home.

you going to run that for 6 simultaneous hours a day or more during a camping trip?
All Im saying...is for the people willing to purchase quality tools, there are options. Non-gas options. You could run this in your tent, in your home, in your car, in your rv...whatever the case may be. No noise, no fumes.

I charged my buddy’s goal zero with mine, worked fine.

The trick is remembering to press that switch every time you start the truck!

We usually dont camp at the same spot for two nights in a row with the RTT, and like to travel as part of the adventure so using the truck and sun will work for us.

That battery looks like a good option for base camps though, for those who can afford it. It would also be good for those camping where generator use times are limited, too.

    This and that...
    Old thread, but...

Currently working on a solar setup for a truck camper coming this fall. Looking at goal zeros and other solar generators or possibly going modular which has its pros and cons. I highly recommend watching some of this guy's videos. He does a great job reviewing different battery setups and pros and cons of goal zeros such as their integrated components and how to hack them to improve their performance.

My truck has a extra reserve tank. But I wouldn’t run it just to recharge something unless we are driving somewhere…
