Do any of you guys clean the intake manifold and throttle body regularly? My local mechanic is trying to charge me $100 to clean it for me. He said it is quite dirty. What would this process entail?

BTW, I did put some seafoam in it today and it smoked like crazy. Going to do this tomorrow again, then put the rest in my gas tank.

Ive done it a couple of times! Real easy to do. Just go get some CRC intake cleaner and start spraying!:) use a small brush to get the hard to reach places.
