All OEM speakers are crap ass paper or cardboard speakers.

Doesnt matter if it says Bose or JBL or whatever, it can be a Mercedes or a Ford.

You can go to Walmart and buy better speakers for all of them.

Seriously, they are all paper speakers.

The stock speakers are fine TBH, I'm not an audiophile but I did notice replacing the front top speakers in my RAV4 made a significant improvement. And it's probably the same with all non-luxury cars these days.

Also I didn't pay more than ~40K for my TRD mall crawler

The speakers in my Defender are amazing and sound awesome. Best system I’ve ever had. And I’ve had BMW, Porsche, and Audi systems.

That's wrong. Increasing the resistance will not hurt the HU.
Generally, decreasing the resistance will be what puts the HU or amplifier at risk of damage, overheating and/or shutdown.

I swapped my dash speakers out and installed focal universal integration series 1 1/2 inch tweeters and removed the micro tweeters from the a pillars. Also removed the center JBL Bluetooth speaker. Just part of my complete sound system rebuild
