    Looking into a windmill. Fucking spendy to install 6-10kW system to get a worthwhile payback.

    There are many turbine farms as you drive our highways.

    The panels listed here are crap. And talked about mounting methods are more crap. And the dollar per watt vs longevity isn't worth the investment.

    These 100 watt panels you guys are wanting are going to be putting out half of what they claim. Mounted on a static point, you'll be seeing half of that.

    Powerfilm milspec foldable panels are the only ideal setup that you guys really are wanting.

    So $13 to $15 a watt. And a one year warranty. :gag:

    I can buy a honda eu2000i for less then that and enjoy 20 years out of it. And 75% output over that one panel. And they're super efficient.

    Portable solar isn't reasonable, with the accessories you guys think it'll power.
    And technology and price don't agree and aren't remotely headed towards portable solar.

    I'm telling you, waste your money on what doesn't work. Or muscle around a huge panel the size of my genny. Up to you.

    Welp, then your system is fucked up. I use my 2000i in combo with my ctek 25000 on supply setting to top off my battery and run my inefficient 85q whynter fridge.

    Let's see these "lot's of people's" setups and figure out what we're talking about? Because I'm not seeing it here...

    Mazda uses a brake regen that stores energy in Capacitors. Able to provide enough power to run the car's electronics, allowing for a smaller battery, and smaller alternator saving drag on the engine, which in turn provides better mileage. Not commonly available though.
