The center console USB-C works. Is where I have mine plugged in. I haven't had the time to run the wire under the cup holder. first I need to find someone that is familiar with what is behind the cubby hole wall, so I don't end up drilling into something I shouldn't. also behind the inside front wall of the center console compartment, where I'm going to bring the cable in, to plug it in the USB-C.

Ran the MagSafe cord under the center console and out into the storage cubby. I think it worked out well. I Dremel’d a small notch at the front, and drilled a 1/2” hole for the cable next to the cigarette lighter plug. I installed a 5/8 OD gasket to protect the cord and keep the plug from falling inside.

Tagging here as a fellow taco owner and 3D printer.

Don’t want to step on anyone’s toes but would be willing to print some things and ship non-commercially at cost if anyone needs.

Currently know my printer can handle PETG to stand up to in car temps.

Anyone know how many grams of filament this uses to print? My libraries will print for $1 per 10g of filament

Most slicers (if not all) will calculate that out for you when you load up the file.

Can these be found for sale on Etsy or somewhere else that I can purchase one? Sick and tired on the bubbled rubber and worthless charger.

@Trail Limo hooked several of us up. Don’t mean to throw him under the bus if he’s not into it anymore, but doesn’t hurt to ask

I do this as a hobby only so no online store. I will print one for anyone though if you send me your address, I can get you a cost.

I do custom 3D printing as well. I have both SLA (finer quality) or FDM (better strength).

Received my mount from @Trail Limo today! Thanks man!
I also got my magsafe charger that has a really good magnet and will work nicely - however, it's a bit loose in the circular opening of the mounting tray.
Has anyone used maybe VHB tape or something to secure the magsafe charger to one of these trays?
I also just order the replacement dash piece that has the actual rubber mat for the charger (not the actual charger itself) that I'm going to replace since mine is bubbled really badly.
Has anyone replaced this piece and just left the QI charger plug unplugged so there's no heat source at all going to it?
A youtube video I watched the guy used JB weld to adhere the new rubber piece to the actual charger as he never planned to ever use his - but I saw somewhere on here that the QI charger is always actually 'on' but the switch engages the actual charging portion so don't want any heat going to the new rubber piece.
    Any input is appreciated!
    Thanks

What a great thread and members that have dedicated so much to provide a great solution. Toyota should take note!

For those of us printing this on our own does the center need some sort of support when it prints?

I think I'm going to print mine facedown so it comes out with a nice design of my build plate, no tacoma text, and then use supports for the magsafe hole. Like so

I have no idea or know how on supports is the problem

That’s essentially how I’m printing as well though

Are you saying you don't know how to enable supports? It should just be a toggle in your slicer and it will auto put the supports where needed.

May I recommend angling a bit and turning on fuzzy skin. It takes a bit more filament for support, but gives a very nice clean print.

Or angle with ASA CF. That will give a near molded look and is UV resistant.
