Anyone custom 3D Print ?

I have a printer. If you send me a .stl file I can tell you if I can print it.

 

First tell me you have a 7.5" x 4.5" print bed

 

I guess I better start looking for a printer. Need to learn some of this. And a Mac program.

 

I have a build volume of 7.55in (L) * 4.72in (W) * 7.87in (H). The print would most likely be printed at an angle vertical in that volume.

 

Check your library. Those things ain't cheap!
I will see if the one at work has a print bed big enough for the design. If it does, I will print it out for you and see if it works.

 

This design will want to be printed in the flat, upright orientation to look the best. The bottom side won't be the prettiest, but won't be seen either.

 

It also depends on what you want your finish like. The cheap FDM printers have a very unpolished finish. The more expensive SLA printers have a much nicer finish and look close to a molded part.

If you have me print this I would print it in an engineering SLA resin.
