I got a few 3D printers sitting in my garage. If anyone wants to send me their design I can print it too.

Here are a couple pics of the model I worked up today.

    20221026_170046.jpg 20221026_170138.jpg 20221026_170150.jpg 20221026_170159.jpg
I might put a few more fillets on the underside.
Any suggestions for changes beforer I do a test print for fitment?

    Thanks!
.25", probably overkill to hold a phone and charger. Will reduce to .125"

that looks awesome!! Wish I can design like that. I’ve done a few simple and printed whatever I can find online. But this looks really good.

    That looks awesome!
When adding to the bottom, see if it can be done in a way that will leave space for the cable to be hidden in there. The cable is about 38 inches from end to end and using the front hole, about 6 inches are going to travel to the power outlet. And would it be possible to add a cable exit also in the left side and the back left side? I was thinking I might be able to run the cable all the way to the center console storage. Instead of having it out through the front.

Wow 38"! I will see if I can get some more room under there. I will add the requested additional cable exits as well.

I’m thinking in tracing the cable close to itself as much as possible under there. And put some kind of cover to hold it in. Before placing the adapter in its place.
But this would be only if for some reason I can’t run it all the way to the inside of the center console storage.

    Thanks!
That looks like a very different application.
Keep on designing! Like anything else, the more you do it the better you get at it.

I think I will thin the walls and top to .125" and drastically reduce the size of the center support for maximum cable storage. I had no idea the cable was that long! Top looks pretty good, but I have some work to do on the underside!
38" will definitely get you to the center console!

Once I have tested for fitment, I will for sure send you the .stl I could send it in .sldprt too if you need to tweak the design.

0.125" is perfect for SLA. Can print the whole thing solid. No need to hollow.

Does the magsafe portion touch the bottom of the cubby?

No. It is .5" from the bottom. Is that enough?

Maybe put a bit of a rib or a column in the center that goes all the way down for some support. It's probably fine with no support, but if there is one point of support in the center it will be super durable in the cubby.

Maybe like 0.25" round post right in the center down to the cubby, or a little cross support. This should support the center without affecting the ability to coil up the wires.

There is a support already there in the middle, but I am going to drastically reduce the diameter. Probably to your suggested .25"
