Anyone who wants to do a test print of this design just needs to PM me their email address and I will send them the .stl files with the understanding that they will provide feedback for perfect fitment.
LET ME KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGE!

I just checked fitment on my printer and I can definitely print it. I will print the first test print tomorrow to check fitment.

Overall, I would say it turned out great! It's a little sloppy in the hole though. Maybe about an 1/8th more depth front to back and it would be perfect?

In2Ndo, if you think this looks good DM me your address and I can send it out to get your thoughts.

That looks great. I’ll send you the add. I think you’re right about the dept. But is hard to tell in a pic. Thanks.

It slides around a bit. I think a more snug fit would be better, but its nothing that a bit of rubber etc won't solve before dropping in the cubby.

That being said, if the design is targeting hobby FDM printers, a loose fit might be a good thing to accommodate printer calibration differences.

I’m planning in using museum putty to hold the disk down and in the bottom corners if it needs it. That’s if the putty can handle the summer heat. Only used it indoors and holds really good and is easy to remove.

Then you should be good. There is a post in the center. probably could just putty that down and be good.

Most modern hobby printers are capable of a 0.2mm tolerance on XY dimensions, so I’d use that in the design.

So an 1/8 off the front? How much should it grow to fit perfectly?

So if I grow it to fit perfectly then shrink it .2 mm we should be golden?

    It looks uneven.
It looks like the back left corner could move left about an 1/8.
And were you saying grow the front to back dimension 1/8 as well?.
    I will do a V2 on Monday.
    I'm busy right now.

Yea, that should get you very close to a snug fit. On my Prusa MK3S a 0.2mm tolerance test hinge gets me a tight fit but the hinge will spin.

I think the +1/8 on that left rear corner and the front a little lower. So it looks a little slanted forward. Kind of so that it blends a little better with the edge of the qi front wall.

They want a complete gcode or STL file. You'll have to learn some cad skills.

Yeah, is gonna take me some time. But I would like to learn some. Looking into what program I can use on a Mac. That’s advanced enough for simple things but not too complicated. And latter going to look for a printer. If there is something under 500 bucks that can do the job.

I think solid works has an annual licence that is free for hobbyists. It's got a fairly steep learning curve but it's fairly industry standard and there's lots of YouTube tutorials.
