I just tried fitment and I would say fitment is on par with the average aftermarket organizer accessory.

The only adjustment I would say is to bring up the radius another 0.125". There is still a small gap between the part and the curve in the cubby. You can't see the gap though, so I would say this newest print is 100% usable.

Thanks! And thank YOU for the donation of time and resin!
I will bring that radius .125" closer for V3 on Monday.
    Any other modifications needed?

Man the timing on this request is eerie! I just picked up a magsafe because I upgraded my phone and the camera bump prevents the qi from charging it. It’s just been floating around in the tray while I try to decide how I want to stick it down.
Thanks for the brilliant idea @In2Ndo! Huge thanks to @Hercanstein for designing and @TrailLimo for test printing! I’ll be following this closely. Can’t wait to see the end result

    Why is it so thicc?

I would suggest just as thick as the magsafe charger and make the charger press-fit to prevent it from lifting up when the phone is removed. Looks a bit bulky IMO.

I think that space is wanted between the Qi charger and the Magsafe charger. One of the questions from V1 was "How much space is there between the Magsafe charger and the Qi charger?"

@In2Ndo requested a little room to attach the charger with putty. Making it press fit would be nice, but the circumference would have to be exactly correct.

My initial suggestion was that I didn’t want the MagSafe to touch the qi charger, for safety reasons. That’s probably why the thickness. I’m not planning in disconnecting the qi and don’t want an accident to happen. And the dept for the MagSafe can be adjusted by using something like museum putty. Two reasons for that. One to hold it in place and two, depending on the phones case, the puck might need to be slightly out of the top. Specially with phones like the iPhone 13 Pro and their huge cameras.
Museum putty can be used in very thin layers, holds very well, is easily removed and doesn’t live residue or ruin the surface. Oh and also to be able to hide the cable under it.

I don't believe there is a afety concern. Your phone is full of electronics and metal, just as the magsafe charger. Metal is just known to block the inductance between both sets of coils (in the wireless charger and the phone). But, if you're still concerned, throw a piece of metal in between the stock qi charger and the 3D printed magsafe holder.

Is the cable diameter larger than the magsafe charger itself? If not, it could still be possible to make the device not sit so tall and coil up the cable underneath.

The room that could be removed underneath would be the height of the peg in the center of the charger. That would leave some room for the cable, but not as much as currently exists.

At the end of the day, this is a request by In2Ndo though so what he is asking for is what is being designed. The great thing is Hercanstein uploaded the design, so anyone that wants a design (shorter) different than what in2Ndo is asking for can make the tweaks themselves.

Are you happy with the design? Should I package the parts up and ship them to you?

Very true. I saw the stereolithography file posted. If the Op is cool with it, then so be it. I'm not here to rain on the party or have things changed, especially because I will not be using it. Just providing some feedback on what I was seeing.

Yeah, I think that will do it. If I wanted to paint it. What would be good to use on that material?

    Thank you.

What color are you planning on painting it?

Any acrylic paint is fine. Put a UV clear over as the final coat.

Probably black or grey to match the surrounding colors. I was also thinking and this is just a thought. A very thin layer of leather, to match the texture and colors of the outside edges of the cubby. But we’ll see about that one. Because with that, I would have to figure something out for the letters. So, initially I’m just going to paint it.
    Thanks again.

Ok. I actually made a mistake then. The resin is UV sensitive so I always paint things that are exposed to sunlight. I already painted it black for you to protect it. Had I known you were going to paint it I would have left it it's original gray.
