I was looking all options listed above and I would like to have slim looking but strong like Total Chaos but not that high due to already having bracket for my bed rack at the top screw. So I was thinking to get Victory4x4. Is anybody have experience with their stiffeners?

That is true. And regardless, they're handy tie down points. I've used them and the bed bolt D rings many times.

To each their own. I didn’t say they had the strongest design on the market, but I believe it is the most functional design on the market for those that regularly use the truck bed. Keep in mind you are reinforcing a plastic bed with 3/16” steel (well technically the thin metal rear). If you are bending the Total Chaos stiffener, I think you need to re-evaluate what you are doing in the bed of a Tacoma.

Look how far out the Cali Raised stiffeners lip extends. If you are carrying items that fill the space between the wheel well and extend to the tailgate, the stiffener is in the way.

    Vs Total Chaos.

I carry stuff often and didn’t want stiffeners because I didn’t like how they reduced the functionality of the bed. I find the Total Chaos only adds functionality while being thoughtful designed in a way to not reduce it.

I carry stuff often also and have no regrets with the CaliRaised ones. Personally, I'm happy with the flange. Very few items, for me, need that extra width in that area. My bigger loads are usually pallets where the tops on the CaliRaised help with loading and unloading.

In the end, I wish Toyota had spent a bit more time engineering that corner so that stiffeners were not needed.

I agree. Tacoma has been using the same bed for decades if someone is doing something that would cause 3/16 steel to bend or a weld to break there are probably a lot of other issues at play.

The beefier bed stiffeners aren’t accomplishing anything more than the TC.

I guess it's to each their own then but I think they are plenty meaty for the purpose. It's not a second bed frame, it's just a reinforcement, as they all are. Having a thick slab of metal attached to the frame end like that is going to give you the reinforcement you need, whether there is a tiedown point, or more reinforcement I think is just a matter of preference. TC has a patent on their version which I believe is why no one else has stiffeners that can go all the way up the bed. The way I look at it, it gives the stiffeners more leverage to keep the bed straighter, which makes them more effective than other brands. That being said, any brand you go with will get the job done. But hey, I'm not gonna argue, that's my thoughts on it. GL OP. Im sure you'll be satisfied with any ones you choose.

Guys. I'm sure one of the most respected names in off road racing fabrication doesn't know how to make a bed stiffener.

Had mine for ~6 months and these beds really aren’t built for much of anything.

Scratched the plastic off with just loading/unloading my bicycle a handful of times.

Wheres your bedmat? Nearly died or became paralyzed when I stepped a wet taco bed for the first time.

It's a truck bed, it's going to get scuffs and scratches if you actually use it to put stuff in. Be happy it's not a metal bed you scratched the paint on that will now be open to corrosion.

Get the OEM bedmat, problem solved and won’t have to waste money on bedliner rattle can that may or may not flake off over time. It is fabric reinforced rubber, which mine still looks like it did when I received it new in 2013.

Had mine since last July. Transported 20+ full bed loads of firewood, parts, camping gear, it has a fridge slide installed into with a fridge full time along with a RTT on a bed rack that has been installed continuously since last August or so. I have the TC stiffners. It seems to be holding up just fine, albeit a bit dirty right now. Need to sweep it and hose it out before going camping this weekend.

I’m not sure your expectations are realistic if you expected it to never scratch or scuff. It it was a metal bed you would have just scratched the paint.

All of you guys comparing the different bed stiffeners are missing the single most important feature that only one of the brands actually incorporated. Because of this, there’s no doubt who makes the best one - At The Helm.

None of the other ones have a bottle opener built in.
