I can’t keep my wife’s paws off my truck. If it was up to her she’d drive it everywhere. Rowing gears and everything...

I ride my bike to the closest BART station to get into the city for work. I usually see 5-7 1st gens on the way. 8 if you include mine.

Agree with you on this one, don't have a wife, but my girlfriends opinion of my truck is way down on my list of things to be concerned about.

Funny... wife hated mine because was a stick.

After two months of selling I ended up being bent over a table on a trade for a tundra...

Shame too, mine was a 2015 DCSB 4x4 6sp Supercharged. Blue Ribbon Metallic.

I’ll miss that truck but the things I’ll do for my wife...

Yes they are everywhere there in CA, but in Arkansas to see a clean first gen is few and far between.

It was an auction, you can see the bids on it and one finally gave up after it got to 24,500. But shit if I had that money sitting around and I found one with only 11K miles id be all over it!

Wife and kids hate my truck, kids are older now. Any trip longer than 3 hours nothing but complaining. Kids in the back have a harder time since the backseats are not adjustable and they can't find a comfortable position (16 and 8 year old). Wife hates it cause with the crap she carries it doesn't fit in the front.

My truck has been reserved mostly to beach duty now.

So... she won't ride in the truck. You have sole control of the temperature, radio, windows and seat position, not to mention peace and quiet. Sorry... not seeing where the problem lies.

Not a problem, just curious if this was a thing with other wives also. I LOVE the truck but she can’t stand it.

Ya I understand the back seat, which is almost non existent. I’ve rode I rode in the back of first gen and it was very uncomfortable but as far as the front goes I feel likes there plenty of room

    damn, that is a lot!
makes me wonder if the other motorists I pass even know what I am driving if they have not seen one in so long (assuming they even care) the younger kids in their teens (assuming their heads are not buried in the gadgets) might wonder is that some sort of new small truck, i have not seen one so small like that before
