    Mostly dust and dirt.
Every once in a while I get a survey about the Tacoma in my email.
Today I got one about what I’d want in future side steps for the Tacoma.
    Anyone else get these surveys?
On a side note I don’t know why anyone would need steps on a Tacoma.

    Yeah, I get them.
Some of their ideas & concepts are way out there.
For me and my needs, don't much care about running boards, side steps or rock sliders.
I do like the concept of running board lights directed at the ground. Helps to avoid stepping into a puddle.

I only got surveys when I first bought my truck, I haven't gotten anything since then.

As far as the steps go I have the Predator steps on my truck and they are useless to me, but my wife who is 5' 4" uses them every time she gets in and out of the truck. We have a newborn daughter and I assume that in a few years they will be beneficial to her when she's getting into the truck. I drive a Nissan Titan XD that sits higher than the Tacoma and the steps on that thing are very handy, also makes it easy when I'm buckling in my daughter to stand up higher so I can make sure I have her strapped in correctly.

I've gotten a few, one was a whopper looking for insight on my lifestyle and how I would feel about the electric world, if I give a rats ass about certain features which
I mostly replied I didn't care about some of them ... age/income/education etc ... I remember one question in particular about how much would gas have to cost per gallon before I'd consider going electric.

Yes, I get the Toyota surveys. And answer them.

So far, the surveys have mostly been about the electronic features and possible improvements there. (I generally don't find the phone connectivity particularly useful.)

I get surveys about the recent service … three on same service where I asked they fill a low tire pressure on one tire. They Didn’t do it since it was within spec…. Of course it was after you drive miles on it. It’s 27 cold 29 warm idiots

I used to get the surveys about features and the service surveys, but I ripped the service department a new one after screwing up things and haven't gotten another survey of either type since.

Only one i ever got from toyota or whoever does it for them was when i bought the truck. Other than the dealer who does my toyotacare sends one out inquiring how my passed service experience with them went.

I've been getting them since I bought the truck, did them in the beginning because of my complaints. Still doing them to stop them from doing or putting something stupid in the trucks. I've never won that prize they dangle out there, probably have done 20-30 surveys

Are you dissatisfied with the camera system?

I don't think Toyota would design an advanced camera system for the Tacoma. Toyota probably does not have any plans for any autonomous systems for the 3rd gen.

    Quite dissatisfied.

The video quality in the new trucks is notably lower then even the older (pre-2020) Tacomas and paying MORE for the cameras gets you the worst quality of any of the Tacoma camera systems.

I also own a 2019 Highlander and although that had a significantly lower quality backup camera then our previous vehicle (14 GMC)and the Tacoma has a much much worse view then the Highlander.

I understand the price point and in a vacuum I could maybe make allowances for the video quality. But when the new trucks have a WORSE camera then the old trucks, and the high priced camera has an even worse quality then that, well it’s pretty frustrating

My opinion seems to be not the majority, they ask what we think, I tell them I wouldn't want it and they do it anyways. The last survey dealt with how covid changed what I do. What did that have to do with Tacomas?
