Got mine cleared on Friday. Dropped at 7:30, walked a mile home. Around 10:30 they called and said ready. I walked back a mile after lunch. First time I started, the head unit blasted me. I had asked "You noted in the big Toyota brain that you did this, right?" Service agent didn't know it if would go away, or how long. I checked the app when I got home and it still showed I needed the check. Today, the Health tab shows Luna is good.

'23 TRD OR Had the recall done yesterday (4/30) at Keyes Toyota in Van Nuys, CA. Had the 5K maintenance done at the same time. Took about 3 hrs total. Seems they replaced a couple nuts. Weld splatter is under the nuts. I had crawled under and checked previously and all seemed good, so maybe it was just part of the inspection. I did wait until I got my notice in the mail and the Service Writer said there was a fix in place.

I have a 2023 TRD Pro and had my recall inspection done today, which coincidentally coincided with my 20K oil change service. No problems found and I was told out of the hundreds that they have done, only a very few had to have needed the recall procedure. I was out on 2 hours, including the 20K service.

Got my recall checked out today, I had 1 nut replaced on the passenger side. Looking under the truck, I guess you can kinda see some weld splatter. Im guessing the nut replacement is to ensure that if there was weld splatter under a nut that it is replaced just in case the nut was comprised by the weld splatter? Can anyone shed some like on the nut replacement?20240430_150445.jpg

Your line of thinking is correct. Essentially the weld spatter gouges the nut when it’s tightened. Since this is a recall, any nuts are replaced following removal of the spatter.

Also keep in mind, the torque spec changed to 41 lbs ft

I just got back. Clean bill of health. I checked last night before and knew it was clean. They retorqued but didn't say to what. 45 minutes in and out.
When I got back in my mini display was on the LCA PCS screen. Now I swear my backup sensor is not right. It seems like I'm right on top of everything before it goes off. Even cross traffic when backing out of the driveway is slow to respond. Anyone else experiencing this? Maybe when they deleted the recall alert it changed something? 20240501_130647.jpg

You can change the sensitivity of the parking sensor

Seems easy enough to check myself. I'll crawl under tomorrow and see what the dealio is. If they're loose re-torque em, and just keep an eye on it. I'm not wasting 2 hours for them to do it...

Just had this done on mine. Nuts on one side look different so retorqued one side and replaced the other.

Immediately noticed a difference in slop in the drive line. Much smoother now than it was before.

Had an appt for 08:20. Was out of there by 10:45.

If you can tell a difference in stopping yours must have been really loose. Did the service ticket note what they found when they inspected?

So first the website said my truck is NOT part of the recall.

Now I got a letter saying my truck MAY be part of the recall.

The dealership is going to check on Monday if I need any replacements.

Just based on visual inspection and checking the tightness of the nuts, they are NOT loose and there is little to no weld spatter.

Unfortunately no. Just the basics that a recall was performed and what it is.

My appointment was done today. I just received the video showing that it's ready for pick up and the details. They stated that they filed down the welding splatted and showed 3/4 nuts replaced on the driver side. 0/4 nuts on the passenger side. Took them ~1.5hrs from drop off to video received.

Had mine done on Wednesday. No spatter, re-torqued, and done in just over an hour.

I had the 10k service done recently, so plan to get under the truck and inspect things this weekend.

Had mine checked this morning along with the 25,000 mile service. Was told when I got there it be about 90 minutes but could be longer depending if they found any of the welding spatter. Told them I'd wait but asked if they'd let me know if it ended up taking longer. After about 40 minutes I was notified the service was done and they were starting the recall inspection. 15 minutes later they came back and said they didn't find any issues and were finishing up the paper work. Got my keys and paperwork back just over an hour after I pulled in. I thought that was pretty good because when I called earlier this week to make the appointment I was asked if I could leave it there all day.

Got my recall taken care of today on my 23 OR along with the 25k service, and a wheel alignment. They replaced two nuts on mine. No damage to studs.

Also picked up the 6 crush washers needed to do a fluid change on transfer case, and differentials when I do the next oil change.
