Mine 23 is a trail so technically its an SR5 but it does have a rear locker, so no clue what rear end is in it.

I wish we knew which bolts they were talking about.

I know. For the small percent of us that could go out and at least make sure we're not "too loose" they could give some info. I'm assuming for now it's the 33 pounders that were mentioned on the other page / in the drawing and will double check, but I don't think there's much concern yet.

I'm more pissed that I'll have to associate with a dealer for this in the long run. I get queasy just thinking about them doing things....

Yes, thanks. Tiny fuzzy screen, wonky morning glasses, and hot chocolate OD got me lol.

If it's indeed these four nuts (when made official for info release) then if it turns out the entire housing has to be replaced for "fixing the weld crap by the nut surface" it may seem straightforward but that's already more invasive than I want a dealer to be on my only 2k mile truck. Just let me do it since then I'd have to go back over all the bolts, wires, and torques anyway. I simply don't have enough dealer faith at this point, especially in our local one currently trying to sell a mid 90's 2wd base taco for $35K ... !

It seems to be the best guess at this point. Looks to be the only bolts that hold the axle. I'll check mine when I get my truck back since I'm on the list as well. 23 Canadian pro

So is it 70 or 27? That's a hell of a difference. where did you get this logic tree picture from?

So it’s like this. The factory torque is 27 pound feet. If you read through the logic tree and explains that if the nuts are found to be below 14.75 lbs ft, they get retorqued to 70.7 lbs ft

Until the official recall is completely released, I decided to check my torque to the factory service, manual torque of 27 lbs ft

*** I just checked into this, that 22AT05 document or logic tree is for a tundra.

Right on thank you. I really don't want any dealership touching my truck if I can do it myself.

it’s the only bolts at the ends of the axle. It’s also the only bolts that if loosen could affect stability or break performance, this would be for Malik at the axle, and seal contaminating the brake linings

I checked my app and I have no recall notice at this time. my Taco is a March 2022 SR. There are 3 different factories that make the Tacoma, did they not say if only one factory had the problem? That would simply stuff as the sticker inside door says which factory they came from.

Interesting, so I wonder if it's from certain factory but Toyota wants to keep that a secret or people won't buy Taco's from that factory? Mine was built in Guanajuato if I remember the sticker correctly.
