Anyone else have a 2015 TRD Pro that's missing certain pro options..?

How do I decode a VIN? Carfax shows the truck as a TRD Pro. As does my insurance.

I was aware going into it that they were not made in silver.

And thank you! I paid just under $34k after tax, title, license, and 60 mo 60k warranty.

Yeah, I determined this was the deciding factor as well. It's definitely not a pro. Unless you ask the dealership or run the VIN... haha

Nope. Great deal either way. Truck has 11k miles on it. got it for just under $34k after tax, title, license, and 60 mo 60k warranty.

    Yes, it's 4x4.

All paperwork says Pro on it. As I stated in the post, when you run the VIN number it says it's a Pro. That's what the dealer uses to decide the trim of the truck.

I never said I "bought" a truck. I was asking the same questions about a different truck. A black one that was in Missouri that I found on Cars.com.

I noticed when I was looking over the summer, that a few of the dealers listed non-Pro trucks, claiming they were Pros. I was doing most of my searching on autotrader.com and there is even a filter for TRD Pro. Perhaps you are running into something similar. I called about a '15 Pro that was within 5 miles of my house and was planning on buying it, but while I was deciding, someone scooped it up. For a week after, I kept searching with that filter to see if anything came up and there were n a few non-Pro trucks that came up So I assume it is common if you don't know what you are looking for.

Either way, your truck looks sick so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Don't think that's a PRO...the badges would be all over it if it was. The dealer would want to advertise it as so in order to get top dollar. You did not get a great deal on a PRO, you paid an average price for a TRD Sport.
Although, the true test would be to compare the PRO options to what is on your truck.
It's a nice looking truck, but I would be going back and having a discussion with either the sales manager or the GM of the dealership.

Follow up - does the vin search show the same color? does the vin in the window match the numbers on the door or engine?

everything i've ever heard about them has been really positive. and i've got no complaints about them. odd that they'd try to pull a fast one like that.

Well, as many of us know, you can't always depend on a dealer's product knowledge.

    Does not.

Figured this was the deciding factor as well when it was brought up. I'm not too worried about it, honestly. I'm happy with the truck and price, even as a Sport. I was just trying to determine if anyone else had encountered something like this.

Yeah, same here. I don't really think it was a "fast one", the VIN does say TRD Pro. Maybe whenever I go to trade in someday they'll give me the value of a Pro ;P

Its a nice truck don't get me wrong.

Great deal price wise , that may be a stretch ( I would say its a pretty solid deal). Either way good luck man, you are going to enjoy it either way.

Just says Toyota Tacoma. Found another decoder website though, and it says the truck is a manual transmission (it's not). The fuck is going on?! Haha

Bluebook value on a 2015 TRD Sport with 11k miles in my area code is $35k. With the options/upgrades this truck has, I'm happy with $34k out the door.

edit: I got the bumper-to-bumper warranty too. 5 years. 60k miles.
