Anyone else have issues with CaliRaised sliders?

Old thread but to add to it. The same thing that happened to OP happened to me. Within two years bubbling began forming under the powder coating. I contacted them and they sent me out touch up paint. At first the spots were small so it wasn’t a major eye sore. In the 3 to now 4 1/2yrs they look like total crap. No where near as bad as OP but bad, but they are rusting everywhere. I sent them pics early on and explained that after only 2yrs they are pretty much shot, and look bad. Cali told me there’s nothing they can do, no store credit, nothing.

I just got them off. Most likely having them refinished. Then I may toss them back on or keep the Lbs off the truck and sell them. They look good but they are heavy. I’m gonna ride the truck for the first time since buying it wo them on, and see the performance of the truck, then go from there. Overall was definitely disappointed in how quickly they turned on me. If I keep em after refinishing I’m definitely going to be applying rustoleum / preventative coatings quarterly.

sorry to hear you fell victim to @CaliRaisedLed junk sliders as well. I got mine re-coated 3 weeks ago from a local shop here in town. I tried something new and had them match the slider color to my truck (it’s like a shade off and I am hoping once they weather it will be spot on) and the top plate to the line-x texture and color of my fender flares. Right away the coating looked and felt better when handling the caliraised finished product.

nice I have a Tacoma as well. Yea I’m hoping to get them refinished within the next couple weeks. It is what it is. Not many other options for steps that I felt looked better than these for this truck. I hate the raptor types and the plastic tube style just looks cheap imho. For me right now it’s either these or nothing. I’m only using them for the appearance and as a step for my midget gf and midget dog.
