Funny thing is I am starting as a Tech at Toyota on Tuesday. I figure try and ask here first to see if anyone know I have not seen anything like this before in a car that I have come across.

Which now brings us to important question why you have GPS tracker in your truck in first place ?

Now that you removed it, there goes the way for your significant other to know where you are at all times...now you've done it.

Did you buy they truck from a used car dealership, because sometimes they put gps devices in there so they can repo when you miss payments.

I heard US government figure out how to destroy IS is terrorists. They going to start selling Hilux with 3.5L engine in them (one from turd gen), so when terrorists buy that turd gen and try drive it, it will down shift on them than engine will blow up when they try to climb first dune..
If that does not help constant vibrations will shake the sandals off their feet.

One of our local buy-here, Pay-here lots uses those. It can kill the ignition if payments are missed, and the car can be located to make it easier to repo...

Do they have to disclose that in your financing agreement?

I bought the try from a private party that had a loan on the truck but he paid off the truck when I bought it from him I have the Pink Slip in hand clean. So they just leave the device in the vehicle?

Some have them pulled, some don't.
    Depends on the finance company.

They pay for the device and then to have it installed.
Very few will pay to have it removed.

They have made their money back in interest to cover the cost of the tracker.

There may be a starter-interupt module wired in somewhere as well.
This, if activated, will prevent your vehicle from starting.

Might want to look into it and have that system uninstalled if at all possible.

Since it has an IMEI # i would assume it also has some sort of GSM antenna in it for a cell connection.
