Wow, most all these bike bring back memories. There wasn't to much money where I grew up, though there was some gems around, so good thing for BMX ACTION and Freestylin. I still have both of my bikes from my childhood. A Patterson Racing, and Dyno Comp 3. My 10yr old son is showing no interest in bikes, maybe if I unbox them (Ill be sure to take pic's to post) he'll get motivated...

2 guys by me had Pattersons. They each bought them off 2 older guys that were buddies and raced them as kids together. I almost bought one when it was for sale but it fell through. That led me to buying my Profile champ and building that.

Too be honest with you I can't remember. I don't remember when he jumped to Redline.
I was with Huffy two years before going to CW Racing. Pistol Pete & Mike Miranda were our
AA Pro's on that team. Talk about fast. Got up to 164 plate when I was 9. Jumped up to the
24 plate when I was 10. By 12 I was number 2 in my district which was a pretty stacked district
in SoCal. My age group was super stacked with Brian Lopes and Jeremy McGrath in my class. I'd
like to say I was number 1 between the 3 of us but in reality I might have been number 2. Lopes
was my fastest competition from 12 expert up to 14 expert when I moved away from SoCal.

Brian Lopes was incredible to watch during the dual slalom MTB days. Very fast & smooth. So many BMXers made that transition to MTB's.

The Thunders were a decent bike. I had an AMF black with yellow Troxel Trackmaster wheels..I bought all my nice ones like my Supergoose.

I think Stu went from Redline to Huffy in 1985, though I forget who he was with prior (if not RedLine all that time).

Loved Pete Loncarevich when I raced

That’s so cool man. One of my first bikes was a Huffy Stu Thompsen edt. My parents got it through a Sears department store. I say all this because the bike your on looks a lot like it. Same color scheme and decals. It was a nice bike. Aluminum frame, Araya rims, Sugino cranks, Oakley b1b’s tuff neck stem, viscount aero saddle.

I misspoke, 1984 was the year Stu changed to Huffy.

I did like the look of the Stu Huffy's, probably would have bought one if I didn't get a good price on a used Supergoose for racing

I left my Goose mostly stock, added pads and a front brake.

Always wanted a RedLine next but I stopped racing in about 1985. I did recently get a 600a though

My dream bike was a Hutch , pro racer preferably. Although the guy that started Profile started with Hutch and broke away and Profile began. The frames were very close to the point that a lawsuit was brought iirc. That’s how the extra brace bar was added to the Profile frames

I'd still kill for a Trick Star. The reissue ones just don't do it for me because no rear platforms. Currently working on getting parts together for a 85 Wind Styler build

I’ve thought of rebuilding my Profile frame. I just can’t bring myself to pay all that dough for something I can’t ride and just hangs on my wall
