Anyone Else Into Old School BMX

You'd be surprised, I know people your height or more who ride 20s.

 

I know our factory frames were actually JMC frames. If your bike from Sears has a tear drop down tube it probably was a
JMC frame with Huffy stickers.

 

I was one of those guys who made the switch to mtn bike racing. Pro downhill and dual slalom and I also
raced expert cross country. I did a few Norba Nationals. Mainly stayed on the East Coast racing the South East region.
Full Factory wasn't what I wanted for mtn biking. Just wanted to have fun and be a normal guy. So I got some free bikes
from GT and pretty much raced as a Privateer.

 

Ahhh man, don’t tell me that lol. I honestly can’t remember if it did but more importantly....I don’t have it anymore

 

It’s been boxed up for at least 30 years. I was planning on going through storage and if it possible, I’ll see if I can pull it and get some better pictures. I recall learning once it was a newer model, cause the top tube slanted down more than what I saw in the magazines and the graphics were different. I believe that photo was November 1980.

Bad ass indeed. I was never a fan of that style brake lever.

 

BMX is sick! Just picked up a Haro Downtown 24”.... cuz I’m older and fat and tall.

How many SE's do you have in your quiver? I think I've seen 3 so far. Great classics.

 

yeah, the SE's are my favorite, I've got a couple more PK's. This last Quadangle has particular sentimental value however. I've known this bike for 35 years! It belonged to a childhood friend and I acquired it from him a few years back.

 

I'm sure you've seen the 26" Quad and PK they have now that are set up like mtn bikes?
