My parents couldn’t drive me. The 2 tracks that were sanctioned by me were 2 and 2&1/2 hours away

Yes they are Oakleys and tnt hubs. I have another box I left behind with number plates in it, I wonder what else? I'll post some pics if it's cool stuff

We didn't have many tracks but the farthest was 2 hours. The closest track was 30 minutes, it was a downhill track. The first I raced on and a bit scary for a 10 year old. Lol

Oh man, if you have plates those are money. I've seen some of the old Haros go 200 bucks and up all day. Even the used Oak's are huge, they haven't made them in forever and aren't showing signs of doing a repop run.

ABA180 is right about the plates. I paid over $100 for this one and I considered it a bro deal.

Really? Man, I'm definitely out of the loop. Sounds like I need another visit to the folks. At one point I had a Mike Buff, and R.L. Osborn autographed plate that was my racing plate.:fingerscrossed:

I'll reckon too that it was before 2 years ago when prices have shot up

If it's signed by those 2 I bet you have even more $$ in that plate (if you cared to part with it) especially since:

Buff and RL were the BMXA Trick Team
Buff has been out of the game a long time (like 85 or so) so I suspect that signature is the rarer of the 2

Sub'd. Grew up in Connecticut and road a lot from probably around 2000–2015. Spent a lot of time on 20inchNYC back in the day and then got into BMX photography quite heavily--queue Skateperception. Went on a few trips for Shook as a photographer that I'll never forget. One of the trips we had published in BMX Plus, which was mind blowing for me back then. Kinda fell out of BMX when I moved to NYC because…why sit at the Brooklyn Banks all night when you can hang out with girls and drink all night hahah.

Years have gone by, but I've started to get back into it a little bit here in Colorado, and man am I jealous of the skateparks you kids out west had. New England would never build a public park, but they had no problem erecting football and baseball fields that are never used. Anyways, good shit. BMX is awesome, bikes are awesome. My best friends are still my BMX friends.

Few random photos I've snapped from over the years:

Lacing these up tonight, for a friend. He ended up PC'ing the rims cuz they were pretty pitted up. High flange SR Sealed hubs.

I got a look in his "bike room" a few days ago. Lotsa classic stuff in one room. And a Blue Max that was recently added.
