Gosh, I miss all my bmx bikes I had as a kid. I started off on a brand new 1991 Huffy Sonic 6 (6 Gear Shifting) on a BMX bike. I was a kid and got taken by the cool commercial:rofl:. My neighbor who became my friend schooled me and sold me his older basic GT Interceptor bike. I always wanted my buddies Robinson bmx bike with GT mags on it. I then got a sweet GT Baby Blue Mach One bike. I somehow got a black Haro Group 1 and finally a custom built Free Agent frame with SE landing gear forks and 3-piece redline cranks. That bike got stolen outside an arcade in Temple City, CA. back in 1994-95:anonymous:. I remember playing SF2 Championship edition that was modded by the owners. Walking out of the arcade to see my weak cable lock cut was the most heartbreaking thing I ever experienced at that time. I can remember that day like yesterday to be quite honest. I can still picture that empty bike rack till this day and see that cheap K-Mart Bell cable lock dangling in 2-pieces. I had to sit on my buddies handle bars as he peddled me home.

The memories of just riding and having fun was insane and I wish I had pictures but it was difficult back in those days. There was nothing like riding with your friends from the morning till night time. We all played little league baseball and would ride with our gear to practice. Kids today don't do what we did as we just figured ish out.

Not me but my neighbor is. He built this bike, says it's from the 80's all original dated parts. Forgot how long he told me it to0k him to buy all the parts. He called it the Lamborghini of BMX bikes. I don't know about any of that but it is nice.IMG_1676.jpg IMG_2091.jpg

Yeah...that bike is dope! My buddy that I raced with in the 80's had a JMC. He didn't have the bells and whistles that bike has, but then again we were 10 years old. Lol... old as fuk o_O his was a 20" that bike looks like a 24" cruiser hence the plate number??

That JMC frame was killer, it was shaped a lot like the old school GT frame. I just googled and am surprised you can still get Flite cranks off Amazon. I don't recognize those hubs though, I had Bull Shot sealed hubs and eventually got Phils. That seat would have been drilled out to shed some heft and those grip donuts bring back memories.

**Edit: Grease was Bull Shot, hubs were Bullseye sealed.

What kind of hubs are on that JMC?

You "can" in theory but try finding the single pinch Flights from BITD. Nuff said.

Put it this way, those grips I see are about $300 or more right there.

Good point modern Flight cranks apparently have 2 bolts per arm. Those beartrap pedals look like a nice match for my shins. I still run DX platform style pedals today on MTB.

Never owned a set in my life but I have a friend who loves them.

I had beartraps on my Supergoose when I raced, ended up just using them on race day. I have the Shimano brand that mimic the DX on a couple of my bikes..

I've seen a few sets of the B2 for sale and you can't touch even the repops from about 15 years ago for under $300 in that shape. If those are the period correct ones, $400 is pretty accurate.

I used to run that same Tuf Neck sprocket (45-16), but with a power disk and Takagi 1-piece 180's. I also ran Comp III's and those sidewalls look like the old ones. The Tioga site shows they still make Comp III but the sidewalls are modernized. Any idea how old those tires are, or how much they would cost now? Still have the fuzzies on the treads.
