my dad quit a couple years ago... he was a lifelong smoker. what he used was the little plastic thing that almost looks like a cigg, and you put a little nicotin thing in it. it worked like a dream, i thought i would never see him quit but he did and never looked bak

I guess I am fortunate that I can smoke a pack during the week and then on the weekends not have one smoke.............i have heard that if you must have a smoke an hour after getting up you are chemically addicted......I hope all goes well for you.............it may sound stupid, because it did to me when I was young but when times got tough my dad always said "this to shall pass".......i never understood that being a stubborn teenager, angry 20-28 yr old but now when things are tough i say that to myself and it works wonders.....................good luck!

I want to quit again. I quit for a month two years ago using chantix. I hate quitting though, it's so much easier to just keep smoking.. Believe it or not ive been smoking about a pack a day for 8 years..

The hardest part for me is not smoking when I drive! When I bought my truck I did not smoke in it for two weeks, I was down to 1 or 2 cigs a day. I should have just quit then, now I have a burn on my passenger seat.. No idea how it got there but it sure pisses me off.

I quit 13 years ago but every now and then still get the urge. Then all I have to do is look at the price of cigarettes now and the urge passes real fast! Good luck to all of you who are trying to quit.

I quit 2 months ago cold turkey, it took me seeing one of my favorite patients die with throat cancer and seeing the suffering was all it took for me to lay them down and walk away.

i quit smoking last year about this time. i tried the chantix and drove me crazy with the messed up dreams and the other side-effects. the only other alternative was to quit cold turkey, what worked for me is drink lost of water, try to stay away from caffeine, walk as much as you can or work out, just mainly keep yourself busy. youll pull through this just fine matt!
