weed will only hide your depression until your not high tho so thats why I dont recommend it for depression. It will only make it worse in the end, not that there is anything wrong with weed just not good for someone who is depressed.

I was primarily talking to Rudbwoy7s.

Longbow, I cannot even imagine the strength that this situation must require, but I hope a lot of people can take lessons from you. Like others and yourself have said, trusting that God will help and provide for you is the first step, but sometimes the situation requires more than that. I wish nothing but God's unending mercy and blessing for you and your family!

For a few semesters I was majoring in Psychology, primarily that of suicide and depression. There is endless research showing that marijuana can actually worsen or in some cases cause depression (American Journal of Psychiatry, Dec 2001, 158, 12).

Doctor-prescribed medication seeks to even out the chemical imbalance in a person's brain, where marijuana only puts a band-aid so-to-speak on the person's emotions.

they also claim that marijuana causes depression which is the complete opposite of the effects of marijuana. lol

but guess what happens when they stop taking thier meds, they are right back where they were before. its something people need to sort out for themselves, like nad said.

exactly infact its worse than before cause the pills that are prescribed give way too much of these needed chemicals, almost like your brain is with drawling when you quit, the brain wants those chemicals back cause it got used to having them, same as an addiction to coke/meth

Guys, this thread is to help people dealing with depression. We can debate marijuana on a different thread, but comments like "when they get off their meds" is uncalled for. Depression, suicide and medication are all very serious topics, so let's leave this as a support thread. If not, I will be unsubscribing because this is absolutely ridiculous.

It may not be out of hand, just dis-srespectful IMO, you all are discussing the pros and cons of weed, and not really helping the op any. If he wants weed, he can do a search for it.
Please take any weed debate to this thread>>> http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/off-topic-discussion/27393-cannabis-sativa-supporters.html

--->look above at HBMurphy, he came in with a good encouraging helpfull post. Take notes ya'll.

lol that was the nicest way I know how to say it. what should I have said, 'when the patient ceases to consume the prescribed medication' ?? Chill the fuck out man, this is a legitimate discussion related to the subject of this thread.

we are all entitled to our own opinions but what it all boils down to is the fact that there are ways of dealing with depression and I think we've all done a good job at giving our interpretation of what 'help' is.
