so I’ve worn soft contact lenses for over 20 years. I’ve worn 2weeks, monthlies and now dailys. Last couple years I’ve progressed into drier eyes and just effing over contacts. Recently picked up a new pair of glasses to have for emergency purposes, and I really like the crisp clarity of vision I get from these new crisal lenses. Thinking about ditching contacts full time.

Took my last pair out in 2009 and never looked back.

Only time I miss them is snorkeling and stuff like that.

I’ve been wearing mine for about the same amount of time.

For how active I am and how bad my vision is I couldn’t go with out them.

That being said. Once I’m home for the night I pull those suckers out and wear my glasses.

I use 2 week lenses for about four months but I keep them “clean”. Too many eye infections.

I go back and forth. I wear my contacts when doing anything outside ... running, hiking, tossing the ball with the kids. I wear my glasses most of the time when I'm teaching or working on art.

I could use a new pair that fits better. I don't know if it's the lenses in the glasses or some coating, but the colors in LED lights separate. I see blues ghosted away from reds ... like looking at a an old school 3D movie without the special glasses. Really freaky when driving at night.

I could see the need there
I wish I was a good candidate for laser
I’ve tried operating in this fashion the most but damn dry eye is wearing my ass out.
That’s weird. I really like this new crisal (sp?) lense

I've been wearing Dailies AquaComfort for about ~10 years and last time I went in for a lasik consultation I wasn't a candidate. Something about my eye didn't have enough tissue/membrane to heal correctly. I hope in the couple years the technology has gotten better because I plan on doing it someday. Both of my eyes are -8 in terms of PWR. My vision is so bad any pair of glasses I wear screws with my depth perception and makes me feel like I'm in a fish bowl.

Have you seen the new drop on lense? I can’t for the life of me recall what it was called but it’s basically an implanted contact lense non surgical style that can be removed and no ill after affects.

Yep. Mine are Crizal too. Had them for about 8 years now. Overall they've been great ... just that weird LED thing. The coating is just now starting to scratch off so I suppose it's time for new ones.

I haven't, my last consultation they basically told me I have to hope scientists and surgeons can out think the pace that my eyes are going.

I have boxes of contacts here but can't bring myself to wear them. I got a new pair of glasses with transition and Crizal that are very comfy. They got a small scratch in them and they replaced it, no cost.

My current set of eye glasses are probably 1/4" thick. I'll actually measure when i get home. I'm limited to Buddy Holly type frames to hide as much glass edge as possible.

I wear daily's and love them. I break glasses too much, plus its cheaper dropping a few 20 dollar pairs of cheap sunglasses in the ocean while wearing contacts than dropping a few pairs of prescription sunglasses... Then the hassle of switching between glasses and sunglasses... If I wasn't as active with my hobbies or job I would probably give glasses another chance, but for now I find it hard to wear glasses.

Yea I’m in that spot now. Running low on contacts and just can’t bring myself to order more. Just over it.
Are they HiIndex? If you got some 1.74 hi index they would be super thin

All my eye docs have told me to try and wear my glasses at least occasionally to let the eyes "breath". So every few days Ill wear them at night when home, or in the morning at work and then switch back to contacts at night.
I find if I just wear contacts every day and night 16+ hours, I'll get head aches when I put the old spectacles back on-so best to swap out frequently.

So to answer your question- I like yo wear both! Benefits to each

I have the same issue with glasses at night. I have to wear contacts while driving at night.

Also every light gets a big halo around it.
