Anyone else waiting for their Tacoma to arrive?

Just received this in an email from Gladstone Toyota (just south of Portland, Oregon). They must have 2023 inventory if they are offering $5,499 off MSRP.

 

Damn they really tryna get rig of them huh, that's a v good deal. All the tacos near me are still msrp or just below

 

They seem like they still have a ton of 2023 stock. Like 25 off-roads. No where around here in the north east can you find that many

 

Yes, little Kenny TV is at those local dealerships daily. High interest rates scaring folks away in Oregon?

 

haha, Lil Kenny... His vids suck me in every time. He does a ton of driving for a channel I doubt makes much money. I could be wrong. He did feature an Off-Road at Gladstone that appeared to be a good price. Generally it seems like Wilsonville has better prices. It's always funny hearing salespeople spout nonsense about Tacomas they know nothing about.

 

Yeah I'm fascinated how the market has turned somewhat in the PNW. Just not long ago there was zero inventory on 3rd gens and anything on the lot was already pre-sold. Some of those dealerships he visits have quite a number of 3rd gens just sitting with what looks like actual discounts from MSRP. Granted the selection of color & trim is slim but, still brand new 3rd gens just sitting. Canada side, our local dealer has 2 sitting. Whereas in the late fall of 2020 I thought I was so lucky to get one at MSRP without any add-ons.

 

Watched his video so I went to Vancouver WA Toyota website and they have financing for 2023s as low as 3.99%. Looked at a 2024 OR which didn’t have a price but the interest rate to finance one is 9.49%!

 

Oh, interesting... Yeah, when I bought mine in December '22, it was slim pickins, and just happened to find mine for a few hundred under MSRP with minimal add ons.

 

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, now would be a great time to get one of the last 2023's if your not too fussy on color or trim.

 

Yes, totally lucked out in the fall of 2020 with 1.9% for 72 months from Toyota Financial. Invested our money instead @5%. We were very stupid lucky with the timing. Didn't know it at the time how things would play out.

 

I think the website said that they had 56 23’ Tacomas and a good number were ORs. Only white, black silver and gray. Kind of different to other parts of the US.

 

I think I got one of the last OR here in the northeast. Crazy how many they still have up in Oregon.

 

Yes, still waiting for mine to arrive. Maybe the last OR Access cab made! LOL

 

I did a poor job of updating, but I finally got my Taco in early January! I’ve been enjoying it so far. I had the factory tires mounted on the TRD rims for now. I couldn’t bring myself to buy new tires before I used the ones I already had…. Besides the wheels, I’ve done the A/C drain mod and LED interior lighting.

 

Looks great, Congratulations! The Sema wheels look great even with the stock tires. I should have done this from the get go.
