Anyone else waiting for their Tacoma to arrive?

Don’t forget there area two different factories in Mexico. The Baja plant I believes ships tacomas by rail through the United States. The Guanajuato plant (middle Mexico) sends them to Veracruz to be put into ships

 

I think all tacos now are in the Guanajuato plant. The dealer sent me a update a week ago and it read "in Veracruz awaiting shipment"

 

Make sure you inspect the truck very well before you sign. Many of these late model run trucks have been coming out of the factory with paint issues and real poor body gaps.

 

How does that work, the robot doesn't cut corners. Where do you get this info

 

Oh wow it took a while, mine was built 10/12 and by 10/25 was at the port. There are a few vehicle carriers at the Veracruz port now. Gonna wait and see which one heads up to NJ and I assume that'll be the one carrying it. Also did your dealer give you access to this? Mind just sends me screenshots

 

lol. Not everything is assembled by robots.

Just check the truck very carefully and drive it before you sign.

No they wouldn’t give me access to this. Would only text it or email me this tracking updates.

 

Just giving you a heads up to make sure you check over everything before you sign. Make sure you drive the truck. Plenty of posts on here relating to quality control issues on these later 3rd gens.

 

I will, I'm driving it and everything beforehand. I just haven't seen these posts you're talking about

Ya I think that's just something they normally/randomly do or if they see something out of the blue. Very rare

 

Mine also is at the Veracruz port. Finished building 11/1. Difference is, mine is headed up to Benicia Ca, final destination Utah. Checked with the dealer on the 18th and status is still “waiting on vessel”.

 

Apparently my memory is as bad as my wife says. Mine is at Lazaro Cardenas. West coast.

 

I was going to say, it shouldn't be at Veracruz if it's heading to the west coast. Veracruz is typically where they go if they're going to the east coast

The dealer keeps getting updates on delivery and they keep pushing the date.

 

Stuff happens with all manufacturers. Just give it a once over, don't forget to check the roof. Mine was fine but when I picked up my jeep in 2018 there were paint issues that needed to be addressed/fixed.

 

Yeah, depending where its going feels like it takes 1-3months after being built. If I have the right vessel I hope mine should be looked up soon since the vessel I'm following looks to be at the port now. Then its about 11 days up to the north east, plus truck shipment.... at least 2 more weeks.

 

How are you tracking the ship lol?
