I'm running 285/75r16 km2's and they have about 5,000 miles on them. I try to run 32psi in my tires, I recently went and got a front end alignment done on my truck and it was a little off. But even after that I still notice these tires just ride rough compared to what I have ran on it before. It's like they will grab a certain way running down the highway that will cause to jerk a little to the left or right depending on the road and ride rough. I know its not my lift which is causing this because I ran the stock tires for a couple of months after I installed my lift before I bought these tires. A buddy was telling me he thought it was the size of the tires which obviously I know a lifted light weight Tacoma with a bigger sized off road tire isn't gonna ride like a Cadillac but he said he thought that the particular size of the tire was why it rode kinda rough like maybe it's a taller more narrow tire, what I'm getting at is does anyone have the km2 305/70's which is a little wider tire than the 285/75 km2 and how do they ride so I could have something to compare it to or if anyone does have this specific tire size do they do this to you? Thanks.

What load range did you get. The three sets of KM2s I've had were some of the best riding mud tires but they are still a mud tire that likes to drift and they can get a little chunky. I've had 285/70/17s on a ram 32 11.5 15s on an built XJ and 35 12.5 15s on a crawler TJ they all road about the same on the same roads.

I would go outside and look to see what load range but we're in a monsoon here in Texas right now and I don't feel like getting wet lol, and yeah I mean I have had plenty of trucks with mud tires with various sizes it just seems like these things like to grab on the highway and jerk which ever way they grab at worse than other mud tires I have ran....

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I think we've barely hit 1" of rain total.

Right and left jerking is often caused by running a wider tire and it finding ruts in the pavement moreso than a narrower tire, like stock. Running a 285 in E-load (1 ton truck tire) will ride horrible compared to the stock P-load (passenger) tire. Which is why I always recommend getting a C-load tire.

My 31x10.5R15 KM2s in C-load on my Gen1 Taco road like butter.

In short your terrible ride is a function of running an overly wide tire for the truck while also running a tire designed for a loaded F350, not a light weight Tacoma.

Yeah I just checked them they're Load E's.....:facepalm:I've never payed attention to that, I always have drove 3/4 ton ford trucks before I bought this tacoma but I would have thought the tire shop I bought these from would have known to not slap some load E's on a Tacoma or they didn't know or didn't give a shit either way I guess that answers my question. Guess my ole granddaddy was right when he told me one time "if your gonna be a dumbass, your gonna have to learn shit the hard way"

285 KM2s only come in E. Big part of the reason I only went to 265/70R17s KO2s that are in C-load. Not worth the penalties for that extra 0.5" of ground clearance the 285s get you over the 265s.
