Anyone Ever Add a Side Toolbox to an ARE Fiberglass Cap

I'm looking at a used ARE CX HD cap that has a full toolbox on one side and a full pop up window/door on the other side that gives you access to the cab.

I really need a toolbox on both sides.

I was wondering if anyone ever purchased a used ARE cap and was able to get a toolbox installed where there was a pop up window/door on the side?

If so was it custom built (the toolbox) or were you able to get it from ARE?

And how much (if you remember)?

See post 16 on there. That's the only window mounted tool box I've seen in a shell. If that's what you're talking about, might want to shot him a PM.

 

Thanks, that's what I mean. I just didnt know if someone had one installed after the fact from ARE or an ARE dealer?

The ARE dealer closest to me doesnt seem to want to touch any cap they didnt sell.

I'll try to attach pictures of what I mean. One side has the toolbox, the other doesnt. I'd like them on both.

 

It looks like it's probably mounted to that internal support system- is that correct? If so then I would think you could mount another, if you can find one. As you noted, ARE dealers aren't big on dealing with shells after the sale or sold by another dealer and ARE will tell you contact your local dealer. Good luck finding one.
