Hello. I have a 2013 Tacoma I park in the driveway. Long story short, the other day my CEL and Trac light lit up. The mechanic said that rodents had been chewing on the knock sensor wiring subharness. They are attracted to them because the wiring is soy-based. Anyone have suggestions with how to prevent rodents in the future? I laid traps underneath the car a month ago but inside the engine?

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
There's already a few threads here about this subject. Yes. I've had parts of my engine bay sound insulation chewed up. They like to get down in the cabin air filter box behind the glove box - check it often. No solutions other than look often and maybe spray some repellent under the hood.
