Used SEM bumper and trim and duplicolor ,both are good . If the solution finish works good I would rather use that instead of painting . Less chance of paint pealing, scrapping off ect. I had no problem though. If you going to paint need to clean off trim restorer real good .

Have you tried a heat gun on those black plastics? It will darken them right up just have to keep the gun moving

When I had a 15' I did the chin strap with black Plasti-Dip.
It was easy to mask off and came out great.
It took most of 30 minutes.
I hated the black faded look.
The Fogs were not as noticeable to me.

I have painted my lower valance and grill surround with SEM Trim Black with excellent results. No primer or adhesion promotor required. As for prep I scrubbed mine with Dawn and a 3m scrubby, followed with alcohol. Retains original texture when you follow the instructions. Flashes in 3-5 minutes for re-coat.

Between the two, SEM is leaps & bounds ahead of the Dupli-Crap. Prep is everything, or all bets are off.

Did you take the parts off the truck or just mask everything off?
Did you do the Fog Light Covers too?

The lower valance I masked off. Looks really nice. The grill surround I pulled and sprayed. Not much work at all to pull it. I’m may do the front bumper skin next since it looks so nice.
