Anyone ever sold a vehicle through "Exclusive Auto Outlet"? Are they a scam?

To the point... screw these guys. The information here lines up with all the bullsh!t they said to me. Payment fee's for "financing" and all that. I really hope no one falls for this.

Definitely just another scam artist.

If I get any tiny bit of bad feeling when I'm selling or buying something off craigslist I bail. When the first text I get from someone has any sort of "story" about anything besides "is (insert item) still for sale?" I don't bother with them.

So I still have my add up on kijiji and I got another call from these guys. This time a girl. Said she had someone interested in my vehicle so I entertained what she had to say and then she asked me for my $500.00, I told her no. That is the buyer was legit and I got my money they would get the 500 for finding the person. She said that's not how it works you have to give us the 500 first. Asked her why, says that's just how it works. Said to her no, I won't fall for that and I want to be put on her do not call list. She told me they don't have a do not call list! I say bullshit, she says well you want us to stop calling take your add off kijiji! The. Hung up. That toll free number calls me every day now Monday to Friday at 3. I never answer! But fuck, how do I make her stop calling me! This is harassment

 

Report them to the RCMP. I did.

 

I think the best part is.. first its 500$, and then it's oh by the way, it's also 500 USD, so it's actually (x current USD conversion), and we'll increase your ad for the difference of your price.

I went into the local police station on this and they literally shrugged their shoulders at me. I guess there's not much we can do if the PD won't even bother to accept any information.

 

I mean. If youre stupid enough to give someone like this your money, without doing some research first...well...Darwin has spoken

 

Not going to lie, I thought about reporting to the police but I know they are useless and won't do anything. This is the reason scammers get away with what they do. Brutal

It's a scam but they do "advertise" as they mention on their shitty website(s). The part that pisses me off is that I had this girl who kept calling over and over, guaranteeing a sale of my vehicle. I stupidly think that she may actually have a buyer lined up and give in. Still skeptical, I recorded the conversation. They quickly push for you to give up a credit card number to get things started and put you in touch with someone to take the payment. They even went as far as to say - don't worry about the contract, we guaranteed this sale, there's one buyer very interested. Well, there were no buyers and no interest/action from their site what so ever. I'll be taking them to court.
