Anyone ever thought of installing codeable lock on the door, like a ford?

Just like the thread name, has anyone tried doing this? Is this even possible?
(Of course everything is possible but is it worth it financially?)

I'm sure it's possible. I don't think they add any real security, and being an electrical device they don't do anything the key fob doesn't do already with a single click.

I have never used them or had a car with them, but I don't see the point of them.

 

They're great for having access to the vehicle without a key.
