    hi all,

I just installed a Lexus IS accelerator pedal pad (Lexus part number 04000-14253) on my 1986 AW11 MR2 and looked at my 1st gen taco's pedals and it looks like they are compatible. i like the look and the function of the new pad. Toyota 31321-53010 is the part number for the matching clutch and brake pedal pads.

Has anyone here tried installing these on their truck?

Want to see if anyone's had luck before I spend the money.

    thanks.

I don't know much about swapping pedals, but could you take them off your MR2 and try them on your Tacoma to see if they fit? If they do, leave them on and get a new set for MR2. If not, swap em back

true but the installation process was enough of a PITA to not want to undo my work (had to knock out a pin and punch a new pin in to install and getting under there is annoying as well; also i messed up a brass punch during the install), so would prefer not possibly messing up this brand new pedal pad by taking it off to try fitting it on the taco.

if no one's tried this, i might try swapping em a little down the line once the new factor wears off lol. will report back if i end up doing that.

but yes if anyone has tried this already, would appreciate some input. thanks

the lexus pad 04000-14253 was only $24 shipped from lexuspartsnow so honestly might just buy another to try and see if it works out. Just ordered some of the toyota 31321-53010 oem clutch and brake pedal pads for <$27 per for the AW11 and swapping the 1 month old toyota 31321-12030 oem rubber pads from that onto the taco--assuming they fit, should be no issue with the toyota 31321-53010 clutch/brake pads fitting on the taco too.
