Another question for everyone, Ive got some sliders coming in a month. would it be smart to spray some Cosmoline rp-342 between the slider and the frame for corrosion protection or would its gummy nature trap mud and salt? should i be using something thicker or thinner?

I got the truck in Dec 2017, started with ACF-50 around feb-Mar 2018 then CorrosionX-HD (cosmoline based like just rp342 but has a carrier added so you can use it with an undercoating gun and air compressor much easier) in April 2018.
RP342 will "set-up" much faster than the CorrosionX-HD product.

I bought a gallon of ACF-50 in spring 2018 and just finished it this spring,
And a Gallon of CorrosionX-HD and only used a 1/4 of it the first time, and have not needed to apply any more.

I look under Tacoma's when I'm at the dealership while I'm waiting for my services and untreated ones just look scary up here.
I'll grab some pics in the next month when I go in for my fuel pump recall.

RP-342 will be great to apply before you put them on, will cover all the surfaces thoroughly and when you put them together form a seal to keep the crap out from in between.
After they are on RP-342 will not seep in between the slider and frame fully, just seal the cracks. But if there is an unsealed crack will help keep the water in there as it will reduce airflow for evaporation.

I want to stop the rust from consuming my truck also. I stumbled across this vid on YouTube this morning. The stuff is Surface Shield by the PB (Blaster) company. It looks promising. I'm going to give it a try. BTW, I'm in no way affiliated with PB or any company, just a Tacoma fan. Maybe next spring we can all compare notes on how the various products worked for us.
