Can I just open up the center console area and unplug the airbag module with the battery disconnected? That should take care of all the airbags right?

Depends. If you plan to load it onto a trailer to bring it to your offroad location. Or if you plan to drive it there. If you're comfortable driving public roads with a bunch of idiots with their face in their phone and don't want air bag protection.

Ideally, it would be convenient to get there, pull a fuse or flip a switch before you get airborne. You might go with some of the suggestions. I'm sure someone has done it already with the huge percentage of us being 4wd people.

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you.

I agree! Too many people on their phones. I’m thinking I would have to take the negative off my battery, flip the switch, and reinstall negative and same procedure but reversed when I leave the dirt. I’m just worried the airbag will deploy

switching the power shouldn’t matter or cause the airbag to deploy once the truck is shut off, I don’t think you’ll have to remove the negative battery terminal. Just make sure nobody is sitting in any of the seats and the truck isn’t running when you remove power from the SRS ECU. I’m sure the engineers have proven that if one of those blown fuses occurs or power is restored even while running it shouldn’t cause the airbag to deploy, otherwise that would be a dumb design.

Well that is just a SPST, you'll need to wire up a relay to divorce all the power sources to the ECU. If you are set on that switch, I'd wire each source through the NC contacts of a multi pole relay, this way if the coil burns up it'll fail to the safe state of airbags on. I attached the full schematic of the SRS system in the thread here.

Wire two of the contacts between these wires here at the Airbag Sensor Assembly Center at connector A21 pins 17, 21, and 23.

4th pole will disconnect power from the Occupant Classification ECU
