You can barely hear it when you are sitting at an intersection without the radio on. Is there any way to turn it up? Possible safety issue and could cause an accident!!

I changed mine to max volume via Carista. Bad hearing. Too many rock concerts. :headbang:

My hearing is fine. My passengers barely hear it when I ask them if they can hear it.

Allows you to change and customize more settings that don't show up in the instrument cluster. I used it to turn off the noise cancelling, turn off fake engine noise, turn off seat belt reminders, adjust turn signal volume, adjust turn signal flashes to 5, etc...

EDIT: here are the options for the Tacoma https://carista.com/en/supported-cars/toyota/tacoma/4th-gen

I can't hear shit, but my eyes work, and I check the dash often.

It isn't a real problem for me; it rarely happens and only briefly when it does because I keep a check on the gauges.

Every other vehicle I've owned for the last 20 years will only blink 3 times then shut off automatically if I just tap the stalk. Great for changing lanes on multi-lane roads. If I actually move it then it flashes until I turn it off. My Tacoma doesn't have that feature and if I've been driving one of the other vehicles I sometimes forget briefly when I get back in the Tacoma.

My hearing is perfectly fine. I've never had a vehicle with that low turn signal volume. Like others, the tone is almost imperceptible even with the radio muted. I turned it to maximum volume when I turned of the seat belt alarm (that they made damn sure you could hear), & it's still lower than any other vehicle I've owned.

Are you using the soft push when you change lanes or exit the freeway? A soft push of the blinker stalk makes it blink just three times and then goes off on its own.

I won’t say I’ve never left mine on before, but using soft push eliminates 99% of the times when you might accidentally leave it on.

Mine will do the 3 blink and then stop as well. Or after a turn it self cancels. No issue with it staying on.

I'm only 54. Ask me if it's a problem 10 years from now.

If you see a red Tacoma driving around NE Ohio with its turn signal on that is just me. I am hearing impaired and have to visually see the turn signal light on the dash before I will turn it off. I try to hold on to the signal lever making turns so this doesn't happen but once in a while it does. Sorry

There's been the occasional lane change where I left it on and didn't realize only to see the indicator on the dash flashing, usually if the windows are down and cruising at highway speed. There's also the potential where you make a turn that isn't enough to cancel on its own. I tend to cancel the signal myself the majority of the time. There are some vehicles that will alert you that the turn signal has been on for an extended period of time but I think the last time I saw that was a commercial truck.
